My turn.
Posted at 09:57 pm by imranhashim |

   To publish my exam schedule.

29 May - Economics for Business

4 June - Foundations of Management Accounting

   5 June - Financial Management

6 June - Introduction to Financial Accounting

   8 June - Quantitative Analysis for Management 1 & 2

   9 June - Business Law

13 June - Business in Social and Political Context

While I will not say it is a war, it is a battle worth a triumph. And with my 1st year result counts nothing towards my final degree, what remains is a drive to grab the golden opportunity to secure myself a place for internship this time around next year.

So excuse me for a 3-week hiatus. For a person who has decided Islamic Finance will be his major ground after graduating, I have not come this far to waste taxpayers' money. Oleh itu doakan kejayaan saya.

   Semoga dipermudahkan segala urusan.

   Semoga dilapangkan dada ditenangkan fikiran.

Semoga diperingatkan apa yang telah dipelajari.

   Amin ya Rabbal 'Alamin.

Good (bad) news.
Posted at 11:38 am by imranhashim |

   Alamak.

Just last monday they announced they're using animal products in their chocolates. Understandably, complaints piled up - attacks from every angle pressuring the company to rethink of their latest move. In the end, the consumers win. Of course.

Mars bars get veggie status back.

Why alamak? The previous post explains it all. Dalam pada itu, alia dan udon, sila teruskan gaya pemakanan sihat (okla coklat skali skala takpe. kot?). Dan saya juga.

Run Imran Run.
Posted at 09:31 pm by imranhashim |

   Er the title seems awkward.

Nevermind that. Now, the madness sparked by my two mates in the previous post - healthy eating, substituting junks with fruits n vege (that, as proved by udon, can be distorted whenever CostCutter offers ridiculously low priced Pringles. hehe). It's really mind troubling especially when both good (fruitsie) and bad (junkie) come at such affordable price. The dilemma.

While I applaud both of them for reinstating (no pun intended =p) their healthy eating regime, I might as well join the club. Fruits and greens normally take up half of my designated space in the fridge. Done that. And with my attitude towards junk food - beli barang merepek hanya yang murah sahaja - coupled with a list of not-halal-anymore chocs, that might be of some boost to eat proper food.

*the real challenge will be back in Malaysia, halal fastfood. Uh-oh*

So then, despite the considerably good food I've been consuming, why am I still horizontally challenging? (man, I like that term - it lacks negativity) Well I guess now it's down to more activity. If I'm not mistaken, the equation is Healthy Lifestyle = Healthy Eating + Healthy Activity (betulke future MDs Ayu and Arifah?).

Realising that, hoping it's not too late to start, I feel the need to have the drive to increase my metabolism rate. Like running. Serious running. And for that, I need proper gears.

Nike+ Air Structure X. A bargain at 20 quid less than retail price!

Er. I have to agree with Pejo. I'm becoming the Nike guy. But it's not because of the brand. Pricey yes, but I like the idea of buying something that will last long enough which of course makes every penny worth. Now that I have a proper shoe, I need some extra kick to keep me running.

Apple Ipod Nano with Nike+ Sports Kit. Kalau kat Malaysia tak mampu beli dah.

I have to say, the combination is so good, it greatly motivates me to run. On top of that, it so happens that my flatmate is looking for a challenger - the first to run 25km wins. Now that, is a challenge. Challenge = Motivation + Drive.

It tracks my runs and progress. Uuu now I can't be lazy anymore.

As my last active lifestyle was a short stint at the gym before flying off, this is no little effort. Dah jadi mendakan merah bata dah ni. But with these new gears, a running partner, and all the motivation I've got, this should be good. Let's see if I can tone down the horizontally challenging part of me.

With this entry, I've literally signed the healthy-lifestyle contract. Consistency is a must. I hope to have a go at London's beautiful parks sometime in the future (a challenge to my London friend? hehs). All the best to myself, and may all of us lead a healthy lifestyle, wherever you are, whatever you do (Ayu & Arifah jog around your uni kan? syabas).
